ubar in river inflow

#1 Unread post by edith »

Hi,
i am having problem with running riverplume2 test case.
i get negative ubar values inside the river part i.e. water is flowing back to the direction of point source couple of steps away (zeta and vbar changes dont even seam to be big enough for it). i use five point wide inflow, open boundary conditions.
i have changed amount of water from the river and put inflow in first from all layers then from top 1/3 and also tried using just top layer but no success. also tried to turn of coriolis.

any idea what could be wrong or what should i change? i am sorry if my question is not well formulated i am not quite sure jet what is important and what is not, just trying to get started with things.
