There are couple of bugs in hmixing.F in the boundary conditions for Uvis3d_r and Vvis3d_r, as reported in the forum

Yes, thank you. The options to split the advection operator are still experimental. We need to stabilize the diffusion/viscosity operator for large mixing coefficients when rotated along geopotentials. We need to do more work on this options.
I added masking and corrected an out-bounds reference for z_r.
