Source of buoyancy away from the coast?

#1 Unread post by sargenta »

Hi,

I am looking into modelling the behaviour of the brine discharge resulting from a desalination plant. Since it is an active substance, I cannot simply use a dispersion model after a hydrodynamic model. Does ROMS allow to define a buoyancy source such as this away from the coast, at a certain depth ?

Thanks

Hi Sargenta,
we are trying to model far field of a brine discharge, the hypersaline plume, with ROMS. Were yo able to simulate the brine discharge defining a buoyancy source at a certanin distance of the coast?
Thanks in advance
Pilar
