Systems for model simulation overview?

Hi
I am curious to hear how people are storing information on their model simulations. Until now I have been using an analog system but I am considering creating a relational database for easy search and overview. If anyone have experience using this for their model simulations or any suggestions to a good system they are much appreciated.
