    2424You do need client software on your local machine. Most Linuxes come with subversion (the command name is svn), so shell commands may be used without installing additional software. You can get svn in your [wiki:Cygwin Cygwin] installation by requesting it when running Setup.exe. (Look for it under Devel in the Select Packages menu).
