Fifth Conference on Coastal Atmospheric and Oceanic Prediction and Processes

Place: Seattle, WA
Starting: August 6, 2003
Ending: August 8, 2003

August 6th-8th

The Fifth Conference on Coastal Atmospheric and Oceanic Prediction and Processes, sponsored by the American Meteorological Society and organized by the AMS Committee on Coastal Environments, will be held August 6-8, 2003 in Seattle, Washington. The conference will follow the 2003 Users Workshop at PMEL/NOAA to minimize extra travel costs.

The conference will meet jointly with the 31st International Conference on Radar Meteorology. The theme for this conference is: “Interaction of rivers, the sea, and the atmosphere in the coastal zone.” Our goal is to bring research and operations together to discuss how to combine our knowledge of the atmosphere and the ocean to improve our ability to analyze and predict the coupled air-ocean-wave system. The Radar Meteorology Conference will focus on the use of radar and radar imagery in broadcasting. Joint sessions and social gatherings with the Radar Conference are planned.
