Gordon Conference - Coastal Ocean Modeling - June 2007

The Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on Coastal Ocean Modeling that is held every 4 years is this year from June 17-22 in New Hampshire, USA.

Conference dates are Sunday, June 17, 2007 to Friday, June 22, 2007. Thie first talks are on the Sunday evening.

The conference venue is Colby-Sawyer College, New London, New Hamphire. Accommodation and meals are provided on-site and included in the cost of the conference registration.

Applications for this meeting must be submitted by May 27, 2007.

The conference organizing committee is Cisco Werner (Chair), Rich Signell (Vice-Chair), John Allen, John Wilkin, Julie Pullen and Mark Stacey.

The conference format is a series of 45 minute invited talks scheduled during the mornings and evenings, leaving the afternoons free for discussion, collaboration (and/or recreation). The program of invited talks is posted on the GRC web site noted above. The session titles are:

Integration of Modeling and Observing Systems
Bio-physical Modeling
Atmosphere-Ocean Interaction
Model Coupling and Adaptive Grids
Hurricane/Severe Storm Modeling
Skill Assessment
Sediment Transport and Geomorphological Modeling
Multiscale Modeling

Poster sessions are scheduled to allow attendees to present their own research in addition to the invited talks.
