How to get soda_grd with pyroms ?

#1 Unread post by chenzhen2181 »

Hi,
I try to generate boundary file with pyroms. I need two grid files when using pyroms, one is src_grd ,another is dst_grd. I can generate dst_grd by myself, but I don't know how to get src_grd ?
In the example of yellow_sea, I find src_grd is "SODA_grid.cdf". But I can't find that file in http://dsrs.atmos.umd.edu/DATA/soda_2.2.4/
DO i need generate src_grd by myself ? How could I get it ?
I find there is a reference in viewtopic.php?f=23&t=2534 .
But I didn't know NCL script at all.
Best regards,
-chen

I put my grid file out here

You don't need to know NCL to run the script, though.

Thank you , kate ! It's very useful.
I have another question. In the ocean_yellow.in, I find ROMS need a tide forcing file(tides_yellow_sea.nc). I can't find this file in your website. I think it is very useful for learning ROMS model . Could give me some advice ?

It was easier for me to rerun those NCL scripts than to access the original tides file. I updated the Yellow Sea web site accordingly.
