2006 ROMS/TOMS European Workshop
Alcala de Henares, Spain Nov 6-8
The second ROMS/TOMS European Workshop will be held at the University and Historic Precinct of Alcala de Henares, Alcala de Henares, Spain, November 6-8, 2006. William D. Cabos is our local host and will help us to organize the workshop.
Alcala is about 20 Km from the Barajas International Airport and around 30 Km north of Madrid. The University of Alcala dates back to the XVI century and it is on Unesco World Heritage preservation list (See http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/876). The city of Alcala de Henares dates back to the Roman Empire. It is the birth place of Miguel de Cervantes (El Quijote), an icon of Spanish literature. It is close to other cities in the plains of la Mancha like Guadalajara, Toledo, and Cuenca.
The workshop is open to everyone but we especially encourage our European users to attend and present their work with ROMS.
Please let us know by Friday, April 28, 2006 if you plan to attend. If you plan to present a talk or poster, please send us your abstract by Friday, June 2, 2006. Send your intention to attend and abstract to arango@marine.rutgers.edu.
We will provide further information as it becomes available. For more details, please visit:
