nested grids

#1 Unread post by antoinemarie »

Hi ROMS users,

I'm interested in doing a model with a nested grid. So, I want to know which procedure I have to follow.
I think I have understood what to do in the ocean.in, but now I don't know which C-preprocessor to define in my header file, and I don't know if I have to compile in parallel or in serial with 1 or 2 processor :?:

It can be very usefull for me if someone can help me.

Thanks in advance

Antoine

Which code do you have? The trunk code does not yet support online nesting or any other coupling between patches.

Thanks for your reply Kate.

Yes, I have the trunk code. Is there other code?

There are two more. One from UCLA and the other from AGRIF.

As far as I know, AGRIF can do two way nesting.

Check this out.

Thanks, indeed I know ROMS AGRIF, and it'is possible to do 2 way nesting, but it is not possible to couple it with SWAN. It's why I use ROMS, moreover, the AGRIF version is not so complete.

You can also search in these forums for John Warner's COAWST branch. He's working on the two-way nesting.
