i worked on inlet dynamics induced by wind pulse.
the inlet is 1 km wide connecting to a bay and offshore sea. i used mask to differentiate land and water cells, and a water depth of 3 m was set at the land cells (hc).
when wind forcing is specified, the water elevation seems reasonable, but the velocity at the inlet is unreasonably small, which is very close to those at the bay and ocean.
i don't know what the problem is, i tried to use different wind forcing, different number of layers in the vertical, the phenomenon did not change.
so i am wondering if the mask of land cells in my case has problem, could anybody help?
