flying floats

#1 Unread post by evan »

Hi

I am using a 100 or so floats in my configuration. When I plot depth against time for the floats I find that a large proportion seem to rise some 5 m above the surface; this happens about 2/3 of the way through the run. The floats are initialised with Fz0=-3.0, though I have also tried Fz0=23 (surface level).

Has anybody had a similar problem? If so, how did you fix it?

Thanks

Evan

No. I have run quite long float simulations and have never had the problem you describe. Perhaps you could give me more info off-forum.
