i noticed the file of frc_uvstress.cdl in the ROMS DATA subdirectory. the sustr is located at xi_u,eta_u while svstr is located at xi_v,eta_v. now i specified the wind forcing by using a spatially uniform wind stress in a coarse grid, and then the model should interpolate the wind stress into the model grid by itself. when i did so, the modeled water elevation seemed reasonable, but the velocity is too small. i was confused, do i need to specifiy wind stress as indicated in the frc_uvstress.cdl file?
