two way nesting

#1 Unread post by fragoso »

Hi all,

I´m interested in applying ROMS3.1 to study the effects of rivers on the circulation of an estuary and vice versa. I´ve done some research about nesting in ROMS, but I couldn´t find anything about two way nesting. So here comes the question: Is it possible to do a two way nesting in ROMS3.1?

Thanks,

No, not in ROMS 3.1. However, Hernan and Co. are working on it and I believe getting close.

It would be indeed very interesting to hear an update from Hernan on how the work on nesting is going in ROMS 3.x. It would also be interesting to hear how the work on two-way nesting is going in ROMS AGRIF, which as I understand it is supposed to come out in ROMS AGRIF 2.0. And is there also nesting progress in "The West Coast version of ROMS"?
