#1 Unread post by philip »

The Department of Civil, Environmental and Ocean Engineering (CEOE) at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of assistant/associate professor starting on September 1, 2024, or later. The department has a distinct profile in research related to urban infrastructure systems, environmental systems and sustainability, coastal hazards, coastal resilience and marine hydrodynamics. Candidates having degrees in related fields but with research background and interests related to ocean engineering (e.g, robotics, autonomy, control, marine energy, physical oceanography) will be fully considered.

The position is anticipated to be filled at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, but exceptional candidates will be given consideration at the full professor rank. The successful applicant will join a cadre of committed faculty (14 tenured and tenure track, 5 research and 3 teaching) who are engaged in high-impact education and funded research programs at a level of ~$10M per year. CEOE is home to the renowned Davidson Laboratory and Center for Environmental Systems. Stevens is a premier, private research university in Hoboken, New Jersey, overlooking the New York City skyline.

To apply, please visit: http://bit.ly/3rZNKH0 and submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a research statement, a teaching statement that includes teaching interests and philosophy on inclusive classroom practices, and contact info for at least three references. For any questions, please contact the Search Committee Chair, Dr. Raju Datla, at rdatla@stevens.edu. Full consideration will be given to applications received by November 15. All other submission will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
