A question about vorticity and pvorticity

Hi all

I try to analyze model outputs. The model gives me vorticity and pvorticity.

The vorticity values range from (1.5-2) *0.0001. This is relative vorticity and I think that it is rational.

But,

Pvorticity is probably potential vorticity (1/ms unit) but here the model gives me the value in some cases of 0.02.

I have a dilemma this value would be correct!

I think that the potential vorticity usually can be less than vorticity!

The model needs depth to estimate pvorticity. So, does the model defines depth between the layer? Here we need 3 dimensions.

My minimum layer thickness is 1 meter.

Please advise what exactly the model calculates!
