sigma to isopycnal coordinates

#1 Unread post by ritabrata90 »

I am very new to ROMS. I have temperature, salinity and other fields in the original sigma coordinate (hourly data for one year at 60 vertical levels). Are there routines available to convert sigma to isopycnal coordinates?

In the myroms.org Matlab tools https://www.myroms.org/projects/src/bro ... ab/utility see scoord.m and set_depth.m.

Also in pyroms, available at various places e.g. https://zenodo.org/record/3727272#.X3cvbpNJGL4

Explained here: https://www.myroms.org/wiki/Vertical_S-coordinate
