Hi All

I'm running ROMS for Gulf of Thailand (with dy=dx=5000m). It blow up after running for 2-3days.
So I changed dt from 60 to 30. It can run longer but it still blow up.

When I check my last file before blow up (as attached). It shows abnormal u,v around the western boundary
of the domain.

Please give me some advise.

I think the problem is your masking.. can you write your boundary condition

Now, i define as 'close boundary' for all.

You have shown us surface stress, not velocity. What surface forcing fields are you using?

I think you effectively have two separate domains due to the land masking - right?

Hi
As I look on the domain not defined properly 'land/sea (mask)'.
Cheers

Those surface stresses seem way too high to me. What forcing are you using?

Dear all,

Thank you so much for your reply. I figure out my problem is
about the land-masking.

One more question on 'Zeta'. I am kind of confuse for the zeta.
I got all negative. I dont know why? Because I'm trying to get
the sea surface elevation.

Thanks again.
