Output from ROMS-how to get coordinate

#1 Unread post by jitraporn13 »

Hi All

I already get the output from ROMS (Qck file).
Then I'm trying to display the results (u) by using QGIS Software.
I found that the coordinate of the display is originated with (0,0).

My question is how can change it into the real lat-long coordinate.

Thank you so much.

It depends. Do you have a grid file with lat,lon that ROMS reads in or is this more idealized like the UPWELLING problem? In some cases you should have lat_rho and lon_rho in the QCK files, in other cases it would be x_rho and y_rho. Then there's a switch for turning off the writing of the grid into the QCK files altogether, at least in some versions of ROMS.
