Hello,
The size of the initial file of my set-up is too big to use.
Is there any option available to declare more than one initial file in ROMS .in file as available for boundary files (NBCFILES == *) ?
Best,
Kunal

Are you asking about the initial file or the boundary file? The initial file has to be all one file. What was your question exactly on the boundary file?

Hi Kate,
I was asking about the initial file.
I understand that the number of initial file has to be one.

Hi,
If I save ROMS initial file as 64bit_offset NCFORMAT then model code will be reading the initial file.

For restarts, you set the name of the initial file to that of the restart file. OK?

Hi Kate,
I was asking whether ROMS code is capable of reading initial file having 64bit_offset NCFORMAT.
Anyway, I tested the same and it is reading successfully.
Thanks.

Kunal

ROMS will support whatever the NetCDF library you link it to supports. Great that you tried it and it worked.
