Announcing the 2015 Coastal Ocean Modeling Gordon Research Conference
Modeling Coastal Marine Circulation and Physics and the Environmental Processes that They Influence
June 7-12, 2015
University of New England
Biddeford, ME, United States
Chair: John Wilkin

In 2015, the session themes are Sub-mesoscale Processes and Internal Waves, Near-shore and Estuarine Processes, Boundary Layer Dynamics, Probabilistic Approaches and Risk Assessment, Advanced Numerical Methods, State Estimation and Data Assimilation, Climate Change in the Coastal Ocean, Physics-ecosystem Interactions, and Ice shelf/Sea-ice Modeling.

Early applications are strongly encouraged, but the application deadline is May 10, 2015

Please see the website for more information: http://www.grc.org/programs.aspx?id=12785

Additionally, a Gordon-Kenan Research Seminar will be held in conjunction with the above GRC. The Coastal Ocean Modeling GRS is scheduled to take place from June 6-7, 2015 at University of New England, Biddeford, ME and will be chaired by Jacqueline McSweeney. Please visit the web site for more information: http://www.grc.org/programs.aspx?id=16986

What is a GRS? Gordon Research Seminars (GRS) are a series of unique 2-day meetings held in conjunction with an associated GRC that enable graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience to come together in a highly-stimulating and non-intimidating environment to discuss their current research and build informal networks with their peers. The seminars are organized by young investigators with the support of leading scientists from the associated GRC.
