Re: two solutions for sst with the same configuration

I had a similar problem several years ago where we got different solutions depending on how many tiles we used. It turned out to be a bug in the compiler that we were using at the time. The differences went away when we did not use the optimization in the compiler command (the -O3) but then the mode...

Recruiting Graduate Student at VIMS (Virginia Inst. of Marine Science)

Sediment processes such as erosion, deposition, and suspended transport impact water quality in shallow water systems such as estuaries and continental shelves. Numerical models provide a means of quantifying the impact of sediment transport on issues such as contaminant transport, and nutrient cycl...

Are you accounting for porosity of the sediment bed? If you work in volumetric units, you need to account for porosity of the sediment bed. If you keep everything in mass units (kg/m2) then you do not need to account for porosity of the sediment bed. For the sediment bed, you can use the "sandm...

Re: Questions about the outcome of the test case riverplume2

Hi
I recently used riverplume2 for a test case in a class. And, yes, the salinity distribution evolves to look like that. I think to improve it you need to change the downstream open boundary condition for salinity.

Best wishes,
