Good point about the free surface elevation, that was obviously wrongly defined. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to have been the thing upsetting my outputs.

Defining - or not - RAMP_TIDES doesn't seem to change anything, either.

Very useful pointers. My time was already cyclical but it was the way I was defining the vector itself that was the key, I think...the time-related errors have gone (for now, at least).
