2016 ROMS Asia-Pacific Workshop

We are inviting you to participate at the 2016 ROMS Asia-Pacific Workshop to be held at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies building on the Hobart Waterfront, Tasmania, Australia, October 17-20, 2016.

The workshop will be hosted at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, University of Tasmania, located in Hobart, Australia. The workshop is jointly sponsored by the Antarctic Climate & Ecosystem CRC and the ARC Antarctic Gateway Partnership.

Understanding ocean dynamics and interactions with the cryosphere at high latitudes is critically important as we adapt to a changing global climate. As such, the workshop will be run as a standard ROMS workshop, but with a distinct polar flavour. This workshop will cover a range of topics including:

The workshop will be held at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies building on the Hobart Waterfront, Tasmania, Australia. Hobart is Australia's hub for Antarctic and Southern Ocean activities, such as scientific research and education.

Co-funding support

We are offering co-funding to provide partial travel support for some PhD students and early career researchers. Support will be approximately $1000AUD and is intended for partial funding of flights and accommodation.
