Acommodations:

On Campus:

Rooms are available on the University of Hawaii (UH) campus in Lincoln Hall (number 1 on the map) on a first-come, first-serve basis. We recommend these rooms for graduate students and others who require subsidized/cheaper accommodations.

Rooms are $52/night for a standard hotel room or $69/night for a 1-BR with kitchen. To reserve, call (808) 944-7805. Be sure to specify that you are reserving as part of the "2010 ROMS/TOMS User Workshop." You will also need to fill out this form. Further information can be found here.

Getting to Honolulu:

Flight Info:

You will want to fly into Honolulu International Airport (HNL). Taxis, rental cars, busses, and shuttles are all available from the terminals.

Bus:

Using the city buses to get from the airport to your hotel is not recommended because of the time it takes and the fact that large suitcases are not allow. Buses 19 and 20 will go straight from the airport to Waikiki. The fare is $2.25 for Adults, and $1 for students and children. There is also a 4-day city bus pass(unlimited rides) available for $25.

Shuttle:

The Airport Waikiki Express provides transportation from the airport to any hotel in Waikiki. Fares are $15 round-trip or $9 one way. Shuttle stops are located on the median strip outside the International Arrivals exit and baggage claim areas D, F and in between G and H on the ground level. Waikiki Express dispatchers in yellow shirts are available on the sidewalk to show passengers where the shuttle stops. Airport Shuttle-Waikiki Express signs are located above the booths located on the median.

Taxi:

A Taxi from the airport to Waikiki (where most of the hotels are located) will cost you ~$35-$40.

Getting to the Workshop:

Parking Info:

The public parking structure entrance is indicated by the on the map. If you are using a GPS in your rental car, using the "intersection of Dole Street and Lower Campus Road" in Honolulu for the address will get you close to the entrance. Parking costs $4 and is paid in advance at the entry kiosk. Once parked proceed to Dole Street where you can catch a campus shuttle to Jefferson Hall. Bus Info:

The city bus number 4 can bring you from Waikiki to the University of Hawaii Manoa campus. You can then catch the campus shuttle to Jefferson Hall. See the shuttle information below for more details.

Taxi:

Jefferson Hall is located at 1777 East-West Road on the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus. A taxi from Waikiki will cost $10-$15.

Caumpus Shuttle:

There is a free campus Rainbow Shuttle bus service. If you have parked in the public parking structure you'll want to catch the J1 shuttle in front of the Law Library and get off at Jefferson Hall. If you rode the city bus you'll want to catch the D1 shuttle near the Sinclair Library and get off at Jefferson Hall.
